Description We are looking for a motivated and adaptable Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Tucson, Arizona. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the daily operations of the HR department and contributing to critical initiatives. Responsibilities: - Address employee relations inquiries to foster a positive and inclusive workplace environment. - Assist with recruitment activities, including coordinating interviews and managing onboarding processes. - Handle documentation for new hires, employee changes, and maintain accurate employee records. - Provide guidance on HR policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. - Support benefits administration, including open enrollment and related processes. - Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements and update documentation. - Manage office supply orders to ensure the department runs efficiently. - Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the accuracy of HR data and records. - Perform additional HR-related tasks as assigned to meet departmental needs. Requirements - 2-4+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role. - Strong understanding of HR principles, policies, and best practices. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRMS systems such as ADP Workforce Now. - Experience with benefits administration, background checks, and auditing processes. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and mission-driven environment. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity. - Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
