About this role

Can you build and teach world-class learning experiences? Do you love a challenge? Are you a professional who balances polish with iterative, fast-paced grit? We want to talk to you!

Writer is looking for a Sr. Learning Experience Designer to empower our partners via interactive, engaging learning experiences, both live and on-demand. For this role, we’re looking for a creative and polished learning experience designer who excels at ideating, developing and delivering learning products.

You’ll play a pivotal role in creating compelling partner certification experiences through formats such as virtual and live instructor-led training, self-paced e-learning, video job aids, assessments, and train-the-trainer programs. Your goal is to accelerate our partners through world-class, scalable education.

What You'll Do

  • Create learning journeys for partners to up-level their sales and technical skills.
  • Design and develop written, video, and interactive content for self-service, live and virtual instructor-led, and tailored delivery.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to up-level existing education for technical and sales partner personas.
  • Identify and fill gaps in our learning materials.
  • Deeply empathize with the challenges our partners face and advocate for new and exciting opportunities to meet their needs through education.
  • Use research-informed instructional strategies to design content.
  • Build an assessment and feedback culture that informs decisions with data.
  • Craft strong relationships across stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

  • You’re an accomplished and exacting designer who knows how to own their craft to build meaningful, concise, and effective learning experiences for external audiences.
  • You have 8+ years experience developing and delivering on-demand, VILT and ILT learning (scripts and self-serve resources as well as designing e-learning solutions using a combination of media, including text, graphics, animation, audio, video, and interactive facilitated content) with specific experience in:
    • Partner or customer learning in enterprise software
    • Backwards design
    • Social and gamified learning
    • Assessment design
  • You’re a compelling facilitator with experience in interactive and effective instruction.
  • You’re comfortable driving learning outcomes for generative AI, with recommended (but not required) experience in AI tooling and solutions.
  • You’re confident, and can easily build relationships with stakeholders and program managers.
  • You know your instructional design methodologies and UX design principles, and build polished learning content.
  • You have experience with common tools for design, authoring, voice-over and video creation.
  • You’re comfortable with experimentation, iteration and a fast-paced environment.
  • You prioritize self-awareness, feedback and growth.
  • You enjoy thinking about how to better organize processes and projects, and leading the way.
  • You’re naturally curious and love learning new things.

Note

  • Regular domestic and international travel required.
  • Work sample or portfolio required for application.

Benefits & perks

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family
  • Paid parental leave for all parents (12 weeks)
  • Fertility and family planning support
  • Early-detection cancer testing through Galleri
  • Flexible spending account and dependent FSA options
  • Health savings account for eligible plans with company contribution
  • Annual work-life stipends for:
    • Home office setup, cell phone, internet
    • Wellness stipend for gym, massage/chiropractor, personal training, etc.
